Sony HVR MRC1K DTE Recorder

I finally managed to do it. (my first post by the way so be gentle please :))
I bought an MRC1K and managed to record from the HD200UB to it in 720!

It may have happened by chance as I was expected the 1080i output of the camera to be the main 'link' here.

When I selected 1080 in the camera, the MRC1K would not trigger. I kept it in 25fps frame rate (PAL) with a PAL output as well and turned off 1080 and left it in native.

The Sony triggers pretty well and I have great footage.

Forgive me if I am ranting about something obvious but I did read a lot of threads about other HD200 owners wanting to know if it will work.

Anybody else on here got the same results? Any suggested tweaking?

Hi Lee,
Have you tried it in multiple frame rates? 23.976/24 and 25 as well as in SD at 25p 50i and 50p? Keen to hear if it works.

Thanks,
Nick
