Any more info on new lenses?

I've heard that some new lenses were about to be released by both fujinon and canon that would fit the HD100. (An 18x and 15x fujinon it was, I believe...)

Anyone with more info on that?

That was this thread.

I was wondering that too. It says they are supposed to be released early this year, but I don't think anyone has even heard anything lately

The great thing is that the 1/3" bayonet mount that JVC uses is not proprietary to them (unlike Canon XL,) so I'm sure at NAB we'll possibly see some new 1/3" lenses from Canon and possibly Fujinon.

Keep in mind, there are already other 1/3" bayonet lenses out there, but just not necessarily with the required HD resolving power.
A friend of mine attended a "flea market" style event at CinequipWhite a couple months ago and Panasonic had a booth set up and were liquidating some old stock.
He bought a brand new Fujinon T17x5BRM4 lens (T1.4, 5mm to 85mm) for $100 Canadian!
He says it works great on the HD100, but I'm going to test it soon against the 13x and 16x stock and compare resolution, breathing and CA.
I'll post the results of the test when I do it.

I saw that lens somewhere, but I'm in fear the images will look dreadfull as it won't resolve HD.... do you have any info on that yet?
