any word on 720p24 DR-HD100 firmware?
Does anyone know whether Focus will be releasing a Quicktime wrapper for 720p24 - so we can really go direct-to-edit with our finally fully functional HD100/FCP5.1.2 setups?

From Matt McEwen:
"we hope to add support for QuickTime with 720p/24 as soon as possible....this will be a maintenence release" This means that if you purchased the Quicktime 30P update you will not have to pay for the 24P update. Considering Focus already knows how to wrap the file correctly now, I imagine this update should come fairly quick, but again that is a guess. |

As I understand it, the problem was never the wrapping...it was the fact that Quicktime stores it's data in an unmuxed fashion.
This meant that to playback from the Firestore into the camera for playback check, the Firestore had to multiplex the Quicktime streams in real-time. Kind of a horsepower issue, I'd imagine.
