What date will the HD200 be released?

What date will the HD200 be released?

Does anyone have a reasonable estimate - as i need it at least ten days before Christmas?

Thanks in advance!

No one seems to know for sure, not even the dealers. I wouldn't hold my breath. If you have a shoot and need 720P60 you may want to rent a HD250.
Sometimes smaller-sized professional dealers will offer their clients a demo model short-term if their pre-order doesn't arrive when expected.

We (JVC) expect to ship GYHD200U units this month (November). My expectation is it won't be until the end of the month.

Usually "shipping" means leaving the factory in Asia. It then takes some time (a month or two) after that to flow through the distribution channels and eventually make it to the resellers.

I'm basing this on last year's HVX's shipping/arrival timeline. I wouldn't expect the HD200 to be in your hands until after the new year.

Whoa! Are you saying that the 200 will come with an IDX V-mount plate? while the 250 will have an Anton Bauer Goldmount plate?

Why? are they going to be different?

Jack, this has not been confirmed yet. Keep in mind that all countries around the world might not get the same battery mount. In either case, the camera cam be set up to accomodate either style of battery, just by changing out the plate.

The final answer will be available very soon.

I've just changed my order from a 110E to a 200E and it's due in the shop at the end of November. I'm hoping to have it for shoot in the first week of December. I'll keep you all posted.

Yesterday a european dealer told me the HD200 would be here in a month's time. Anyhow, not to blow any hopes, but I ordered my JVC GY-HD101E last year in the end of june, perhaps the first few days of july, but I got it in december.

Better not to expect it too soon, you won't get dissappointed then... :-)
