Scene file question
Hi,
Me and a friend both have the same JVC camera, the HD101, so when we both do a shoot together we can identically match the cameras through the scene files. However my friend is thinking of upgrading to an HD200. My question is can we still match cameras this way if he gets the 200, and, if not, are there any scene files that are pretty close matches between the two cameras? |

If you use the exact same lenses and and white balance manually you will be able to come very close by using any pair of my HD100 & HD200/250 scene file settings.
Anticipating a HD100/200 multi-cam scenario, I created the HD200/250 versions as exact matches to the original HD100 versions. I accomplished this by literally using the exact same lens, the exact same chart/tripod mount, the exact same aperture, and taking the waveform/vectorscope frame grabs of the HD100 and then swapping bodies to the HD200 to program the matches. By removing as many variables as I could it was very telling how different the new gamma curves were from the originals.
