HD250 vwedge plate and Chrosziel mattebox

has anyone mounted this mattebox with the vwedge tripod mount on, so it can be used with KA551U tripod plate. It's annoying that all this weight can only be supported by one threaded screw using the basic quick release plate. I bought the KA551U to go with my miller DS20 head because I wanted good support and stability, and it seems to use the chrosziel I have to give this up now?

I saw someone did it using a Vocas mattebox, I might return the Chrosziel and get the Vocas if thats the case. Though if possible want to keep the Chrosziel if there is a work around.

Thanks

Adam

Hi Adam,

I'll reply your PM here so other people can see it.

Vocas gave me another rod support that is flat.
This rod support is normally used in this kit.
You can see the base of the rod support is flat. So I don't need a bus, it just fits perfectly.

Adam.

Jim Frater a DP here in WA, has used a HD250 which he put on a steadycam and had follow focus and mattebox which matched to it. It might be worth giving him a call.

He is listed on the Screenwest crew database.
