factory reset procedure?

I'm having on-going issues with one of my HM-750 cameras where the HD-SDI output intermittently decides that it's not going to work for me :(
I've tried everything I can think of and nothing will fix this problem.
I've gone through the manual and, while I can find the procedure to do a settings reset, I can't find the procedure to do a factory reset.
If it's in there, can someone please point me to the right page.
If it's not, can someone please tell me what the procedure is.
Thanks very much.

Re: factory reset procedure?

Mike,
I looked around and found this thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/jvc-gy-h...m-700-a-2.html

Which has a link to a PDF that gives instructions on how to enter the service menu on the 700. Although they are talking about pixel compensation, there may be a menu pick for factory reset.

Regards,
Jerry

Re: factory reset procedure?

Thanks Jerry. I'll try it at work tomorrow, see what I can find and report back.
BTW, I was playing with the camera today (hooked it up to an HD-SDI monitor) and could not get the connection to fail no matter how hard I tried.
I HATE intermittent problems :(

Re: factory reset procedure?

Thanks to Jerry I finally got into the maintenance menu and saw the option I was looking for.
However, without a service manual (or a JVC rep) to tell me exactly what happens when I select that option, I chose to leave well enough alone and keep my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen again.
