Gy-hm850 Viewing shot via iPhone
Has anyone done this? I was under the impression that if you used a USB wifi dongle that you could view the camera shot live (with some lag) but I have not succeed. Does anyone have a step by step? I would appreciate some clarity that the manual doesn't provide.

Re: Gy-hm850 Viewing shot via iPhone
Okay I finally succeeded getting "View Remote" feature to work. There are number of USB wifi adapters that will work with the camera and the list can be found on the JVC website. It's a handy utility for those who want to follow behind your crew and monitor the shot. It has features to actually control the camera functions remotely but it's a clunky interface. I've been up to 50 feet away from the camera (outdoors) with minimal lag.

Hi Mike, how successful would this system be for replacing a plug-in monitor?
Sometimes remaining joined via cables is so much simpler/better quality than a wireless setup. Cheers. |
