Cinema Look

Are there settings for the GY-HM600U that give it a cinema look?

Re: Cinema Look

What cinema look do you want? Kodak stock? Fuji stock? Which decade? Red One? Red Epic? Alexa? F35? Genesis?

How could someone begin to offer some tips if they don't know what both of your other cameras are?

Re: Cinema Look

I have a Panasonic AG-HMC 150 and a Sony NEX 50 they both have 5 or presets for different looks in there there is one giving the camera more of a cinematic DSLR kinda feel. As I said rich black levels high chroma. I am new to the HMC 600 and I cant find anything on color presets.

Re: Cinema Look

By "rich black levels" i assume you mean higher contrast with more crushed blacks? By "high chroma" do you mean saturation?

What is the preset on the HMC150 that you feel gives you the look you like? What is the preset on the Sony NEX50 that you feel gives you the look that you like?

Re: Cinema Look

Randy, your 600 has a Cinema preset in the Process menu, that would be a good place to start. There are Colour Matrix presets as well, which might give you the colour saturation you're looking for.

Also, Allan Roberts of the BBC has tested the camera and provided some suggestions for "best look" settings.
