Which Cleaning Tape ? at DVinfo.net

We are using Panasonic tape in a Sony FX1. Should we use a Panasonic ceaning tape or a Sony one ? And should the tape be run through in the FX1's VCR playback mode or in the camera record mode ?

Brand of cleaning tape does not matter. Run in camera record mode for no more than 8 to 10 seconds tops.

Many thanks, Chris - been niggling me for some time, glad it's been sorted. Using this forum is a bit like going to the doctor's - one's often a bit embarrassed to be worried about a seemingly minor problem but happily (usually!) come away feeling reassured and without being laughed out of the surgery.
