Any problems using Sony tapes with the GL2?

Are there any specific problems with using the Sony Premium tapes in the blue packaging with the GL2? I have read some things around here indicating that they might cause a problem.

The reason I ask is because I have about 15 brand new Sony Premium tapes here and was prepared to use them with my new GL2. Should I be concerned about these tapes?

Thanks

It depends on what you've been using before. You shouldn't mix brands. Stick with whatever brand you've been using.

I have had no problems with the ones I've used. I was using red Sony Premiums (I'm in NZ) but now order my tapes from overseas as they are about half price and have run about 7-8 Blue ones through my XM2 and all's fine. Not had one problem, but then again that's not a huge sample.

I have only used Sony Premium tapes with my XM2.
One tape had problems with lots of glitches, but all the other tapes have been without any problems.
