Panasonic AGDV1000 info?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone had used the Panasonic deck at all? Also will it work with PAL systems? Thanks in advance

Plenty of folks use this deck; however I'm not aware of a PAL version (DV decks are either PAL or NTSC, but not both).

Also, we've switched to real names only for usernames; and "handles" are no longer allowed . Contact me off the list at chris@dvinfo.net so we can get your account updated. Thanks,

El Pollo,

Since you're in Vancouver, go to Multi-Systems located on Broadway and Manitoba (2 blocks west of Main and Broadway). They have many brands of decks, DVD players and VCRs, and they are all multi-system (PAL/SECAM/NTSC plus the different region codes).

I use this deck but am not aware of a PAL version.

Here's the Panasonic spec page on the deck.

There should be both a PAL and NTSC version. I suggested to the thread starter to check that local electronics store in Vancouver for multi-sytem decks, since he mentioned PAL. I'm not even sure if they make multi-system DV editing decks yet. But they do make multi-system DVD and VHS decks.

You can also contact Tim/Nic in Japan, who might be aware of these types of specialty decks. You can get Tim/Nic's e-mail from here:
