Gopro V Mobius

Hi all, new to the forum so hope I can add some thing of interest and if I do something wrong then please let me know :-)

I have been using a Hero 3 Black on both my DJI Phantoms mk1 and mk2 for over a year now.

I had some trouble with the Gopro just after I bought it so sent it back under guarantee and in the mean time I bought the Mobius. A slightly smaller full HD camera.

There is a big difference between the cost of both.
Hero was £350 Mobius was £45.00 !!!!!!

The results of the Mobius can be seen here
You can also see a comparison between the two in low light.

I am now using the Mobius on a pole mount with stablized gimbal on board my cruiser when on the rivers.

Re: Gopro V Mobius

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum :-)

Interesting seeing your Broads pics and video as I keep a motorsailer at Reedham and have travelled extensively on the Broads over the years. I run a video and photographic business near Ely and have done so for 30 years. Most of my Broads stills and video are shot in 3d, one of my other interests, but no aerial shots yet as I have only had my phantom for a few weeks. As I live on the River Little Ouse, I have taken quite a lot of GoPro footage here, but still waiting to fit Fpv and a gimbal.

In your comparison shots, the Gp3 is clearly sharper with more colour depth and vibrancy than the Mobius, but that is to be expected from the higher video resolution and better lens. The Mobius though looks pretty good especially at the much lower price, and I have been considering using a pair of them for 3d fpv flying.
