Bogen 679b monopod, but which head?
I videotape indoor sporting events. Sometimes sitting on the floor, other times standing. I need to be able to quickly and easily pan my gl2 with my hand strapped to it.
Which head would allow me to do this? B&H offers 3 heads with the 679b monopod. Thanks! |

A pan head on a Monopod will not do you any good for two resons, You will lose eye site with your view finder if you pan
the camera with out folowing it with your body second you will have to fix the mono pod or at least have a good grip on it to counter the pan head. So you will end up with panning with the pod itself. Tilt can help. have a look at this : http://www.varizoom.com/pages/DVRigJR.html |

I use a monopod fairly often, and in my opinion it would be of no use for telephoto action shots. You will see every little shake. They are for up close work only.
