Hi all, would this quick release assembly fit on a monopod?

Unless I'm mistaken, yes it does.

Yes it does, although you might have to get 2 of teh quick release assemblies as the plate QR might not fit your Tripod head. I have a Bogen 501as well as the QR assembly you showed and had to purchase a second QR assembly to mount on my 501.

It works with monpod but it is not compatable with bogen 503 head.

I think this is the one I should have bought: 577

I keep hoping to find a 501 head for my monopod. I want QR compatable with my 503, but I also want to be able to set the tilt on it. It makes a monopod much more useful IMHO.

The Bogen tripods seem to have a center piece that can be used as a monopod you take the whole shaft out and keep the camera mounted to it and your 501 head and the whole cam can rotate like you had it on the tripod...
