I'm using Adobe After Effects production bundle at the moment
to do color correction. I haven't tried any other products yet.

Synthetic Aperture makes a great product called Video Finesse. It's a plug in for Premier that provides a very in-depth proc amp with vectorscope and signal analyzer. This plug-in gives premier a capability that comes as a default with FCP.
