Backup Solutions

Just wondering what people use to backup all their projects, captured footage etc....

Currently I have close to 500Gb of captured footage and projects and am looking for cost effective ways in which to back it all up.

Any suggestions?

Easiest is to get hard drives and copy the material over.

The other option is to keep your project file, extraneous media (i.e. music), and your original footage on your tapes. This'll allow you to re-create your project. Your NLE should have timecode info so it can simply capture footage off your tapes.

If you have timecode breaks on your tapes it may not be so easy to re-create.
