Upgrade NLE to Avid Express HD Pro or Apple FCP

Hallo
I am going to buy a new edit system and am trying to decide between Avid Express HD Pro or Apple FC Pro. I used to use Pinnacle Liquid edition but have given up after numerous problems (including missing media data error on liquid 6 not allowing me to export to DVD as the last straw) and want to move to one of the above with a new dedicated system. Does anyone recommend either of the above? I havent been able to find a review that directly compares them. I am more tempted by Avid as it will run on a windows PC , I have never used an apple before, but would switch if it was a better program.
Thanks
