Easiest to use Multi-Cam capturing software
What's the most user-friendly and easiest to use PC software to capture a 3 camcorder production? I'm looking to connect multiple HD camcorders and DSLR's via HDMI. I unseated a $300 Blackmagic Intensity hardware might be needed to purchase for this..
Any input is truly appreciated! Thanks

Re: Easiest to use Multi-Cam capturing software
if you want 3 cameras, you will need 3 captures cards (unless the card provide several input).
blackmagic is selling boxes called ATEM . These box are kind of HD mixers and are very cheap. You can build a pc with 3 intensity card and use Vmix2012 as software mixing table. In all the case, you will only record the final mixing, not the 3 inputs. If you go with HDMI , take care that long cable length with HDMI can be tricky. |

Re: Easiest to use Multi-Cam capturing software
I found a solution, not a cheap one, but it works well.
3 camcorders with HDMI output to 1080i 59 Blackmagic Design ATEM Production Studio 4K (loud fan noise, so beware..) Atomos Samurai Blade Though after recording all of the multi-cam switching, and even laptop screen as 4th camera input in the ATEM, the playback on Samurai Blade is kinda skippy, when transfering the footage from it to the Win7 laptop equipped with SSD drives all footage plays perfectly in Prores HQ on Premiere Pro CS6 timeline.
