Need help with cameras! Ebay?

Okay so I have a DSR300 and DSR PD-170 and a good switcher, but I need aleast one or two more cameras. So I was thinking I'll get a used DSR300, but at $3,500 it's a little steep. So my next thought is JVC GY-DV500 at about a grand on ebay. 1/2 chips just like the dsr that's realy good, But I can't deal with three different types of cameras! Two types yeah sure, but not three. So how different quality wise is a dv 500 to a 300? Should I hold out for a 300 or try and sell it to get two dv 500. I could probably get buy with pd 170 as wide and the two jvc's a closeup.

So basicly should I stay sony or go jvc?

Personally I would not mix Sony and JVC cameras. You will have major headaches color correcting (matching) the video.

Why not another PD-170? You didn't say what are the cameras for...

they are for a local cable show, and I am only ok with a pd 170 as a wide shot.

Idealy I would want all 1/2 camers.
