Looking for a certain type of music.
Not really sure what forum to put this in but anyway. Just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction in identifying what you would call the music that includes east african chanting with a moody ambient tune behind it? You've heard it in such films as Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, and various other films Hans Zimmer scored for. I've also heard it in the great movie, 8mm, starring Nicolas Cage.

Travis.
If you look up "The Lion King" on YouTube there is I think one clip which discusses the original film scoring and the added African rich chorales and rhythms created by South African composers for the stage version. If you go to www.zoetrope.com "The Virtual Studio", become a member then go to the "Music Building" "Film Scoring" "Forum" and post a question there, I'm sure you will receive a sensible and informed answer.
