Software Video switcher

So we are doing a live A/B shoot, and instead of renting a video switcher I'm wondering if such a thing as a software video switcher exists. Does it? Does one exist that I can use in conjunction with Adobe Onlocation to record directly to disk?

A couple of weeks ago I saw a post (I think it might have been here) about a software switcher-it looked pretty good but I can't remember the name of it. Try searching here for it and I'll look around and see if I can find it also.

BTW IIRC it was about 600 (pounds I believe as I think the mfg is in England but again I could be wrong) I'll look for it.

Thanks for the plug(!)

We have a software DV switcher in development but it isn't available yet. It will be followed by a HDV version.

I hope a barebones version of the DV one will be available for testing in a few weeks.

I don't know of a way to do it live unfortunately. For this past wedding I captured all my footage and used multi cam mode in Adobe Premiere and basically switched live in post production.
I assume you already knew about this though.
