Matthew,

CineVideoTech is by far the premiere rental house in Miami. They do offer a variety of monitors commonly used with video assist setups on film cameras. The only problem that you may encounter is that they are primariy a film house. I know that the late Egon Stephan,( the operation is now run by Egon Stephan Jr. or "JR), had bought a couple of XL-1s but I don't think they went much farther with the video rental end of it.

I do know that they have the XL-1 to PL adapter although I don't know if they rent it out.

Their camera inventory is spectacular as are their grip/electric and expendables inventories .

Where will you be shooting in Miami?

RB

i'm just looking to rent a decent monitor for playback to make sure the stuff i'm shooting is coming out the way i want it to...

i'll be shooting primarily at tropical park, i have a friend who has been performing there since thanksgiving.

his last show is on the 11th and then we will drive pretty much non-stop to updstate NY for his next gig.

gonna make a documentary about the whole show thing and life on the road.

using a new camera, dvx-100a, it has a lot of funky settings, its 24p and has some neat cinema-look effects.

Cool.

What kind of performance?

In Tropical Park itself, the one on Bird Road and the Palmetto Espressway?

Let me know exactly when and where you guys are going to be out there and I'll pass by and introduce myself.

It'd be nice to meet someone from the "Community".

Regards, RB.
