JVC's Streamcorder at DVinfo.net

I hear no one's screaming about JVC's new Streamcorder. One guy who bought one posted on another forum saying it has a cheap plastic feel with unimpressive video.

The only person I know who has one and is willing to write about it is Lou Bruno. I've asked him if I could post his review on my site, whenever it gets written. I understand the video *is* impressive, but you can't take the lens hood off (therefore, no matte box) and there's no way to connect a VariZoom or similar lens controller, which cripples it in my book.

Now I'm not sure about this, but I recall reading that the streamcorder does not have the 1/30 and 1/15 shutter speeds in manual mode. If I'm not correct, then someone correct me please.
