Well, not all of your original question went unanswered. Two of us attempted to explain the difference between Metal Evaporated and Metal Particle.

Your question wasn't the orginal topic question but your previous response kind of implies that it was.

The panasonic Large DV tapes are Costly than Sony Large DVCAM tapes and more over they are not available in india readily. The panasonic dealers are real lousy out here.

The Sony DVCAM cox of the speed diference between DV & DVCAM .... runs longer on DV mode...DVCAM184 runs DV277 minutes. So i get more recording time by paying less.
