Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about this camera? Looks like it is about at the same level as the PD150 but I have not been able to find many reviews.

Thanks

I read 2 user reviews, and quoted one fellow's conclusion at: www.DVFreak.com/links

Just a blurb near the bottom.

From what I've read so far, people aren't jumping up and down about it. Personally, I haven't seen one yet. I'm waiting to get my hands on that new Pana 24p, though, GL-2 and Sony's VX2000/PD150 replacement.

GY-DV300U

Has anybody come up with any newer info on the GY-DV300U? I started out two weeks ago researching for something in the $800 to 1k range, so what am I doing asking about a GY-DV300U ? Well, it all has to do with the way the marketing guys do their thing. Every camcorder I looked at because it had things I wanted also had things I didn't want! I almost bit on a TRV950 but who needs Bluetooth?? The internet on a 3.5 inch screen restricted to a 56k modem. whazzat?? Along with that you get MPEG EX and no info as to what that does to the base algorithms. Anyway, enough, but back to the original question...
