Using a Polarising Filter

A quick question (hopefully)...

When using a polarising filter to enhance to blue sky, should I turn the filter to make the blue as bright as possible, or as dark as possible?

Cheers, Nick

the brightness is what is killing color, so the darker will give best blue.
take care that panoramic moves can totally change the settings, so you have to make sure that the correct setting is best at end or start, or better keep it the same on all the pano.

Most people lean toward darker so the clouds stand out more, but you can adjust it anywhere you like. Turn it so it looks the best to you. Keep in mind that it will often change as you pan or tilt the camera.
