1/2" ccd camera with progressive/frame mode?

Been browsing the web for an "ideal" camera. To me, this would mean something that has all the features of the XL-2 (progressive scan with 1/48 shutter, interchangeable lens system, etc), but with a larger CCD.

Is there such a camera, or am I dreaming in vain?

Panasonic's SDX900. Check it out:

It's 2/3" CCDs, though, and a whopping $27,000.

I don't know about 1/2" cameras with those features.

I don't think their are any 1/2 chip cameras that meet your requirements, yet.

If you want bigger than 1/3" you're stuck with moving all the way to 2/3". I doubt they'll come out with a 1/2" version like you want...that would take too much biz from the 2/3" chip market.
