Structual X-ray

Does anyone know if those huge structual x-ray machines effect dv tapes, hard drives, anything electrical?

Tomorrow the new re-enforcements in the office are being x-rayed for faults. Just a bit worried.

Thanks.

X-ray doesnt affect magnetic media, but are you shure the construction will be X-rayed? X-ray NDT is seldon applied in open area's. Mostly it will be ultrasound or electromagnetic testing. Electromagnetic radiation, if strong enough could harm magnetic media.
