GY-5000U inquiries
The GY-5000 U will be out pretty soon, I was wondering if this camera is any good.
I'm planning on purchasing either a Canon XL1s or a GY5000U, I need some advice on which camera would be the better to buy considering additional lens choices, price, value, depth of focus, image quality, etc. |

Since the camera isn't even available yet (as you point out) it's hard to draw comparisons. My understanding is it's based on the current (soon to be discontinued?) DV500. Do a search on DV500 and you'll find some comparisond to the XL1. I have a client who is purchasing a new camera before the end of the year. He's considering the JVC, so I might get to shot with one before the end of the year.
