How much difference ?
I want to buy a new miniDV camcorder and have narrowed it down
to 2 models. the Sony DCR-PC55 and the DCR-HC90 i have no interest in their still photo ability and i can't get a honest answer about their video quality. the PC55 is rated at 340k pixels 1/6" CCD and the HC90 has 690K 1/3" CCD obviously one is double the other but where and when will i actually see that difference. will it be night and day on the same HiDef TV or will i have to squint to see the difference ? the PC55 is also listed as having 500 lines of res and the HC90 has 530 lines. i really like the PC55 but if the video quality is really double on the HC90 i will buy that one. Please Help Parish.....

Usually: Bigger chips: more low light capacity.
Maybe more detail, but I'm not sure about that. |
