What differences between these 2 Lighting Panels?

Hi, I have a Litepanels LP-Micro but today surfing on the net I have just noticed a different Lighting Panel with almost same price, it is a 312 LED Lighting Panel:
Find 312 LED Lighting PANEL Video Camcorder Color dimmer 5d2 on eBay International Market, with worldwide deals on items in all your top categories
With this Panel will I get more light really? How much?
What is your suggestions, please?
Thanks, Adriano

Re: What differences between these 2 Lighting Panels?

Adriano,

It's really tough to tell what the comparative output is since the ad doesn't list any output measurements.

"more" LED's doesn't neccesarily mean more output; I have a small single LED flashlight in my pocket right now that's only slightly larger than a CR123 battery and it's output is over 200 lumens. The problem with ads for things like this is they prey on the "more is better" mentality, in much the same way that still camera manufacturers sell sub-compact cameras with 12 or 14 megapixels as being "better" than the competitions 10 megapixel offerings.

What they fail to tell you is that they have 14 megapixels crammed onto a tiny sensor much better suited for less than half that number.

I've got a couple of cheap, Chinese LED lights....they're good for what they are, and for what I paid for them. I doubt either of them would last through more than a few hard shoots, but then I don't have a lot invested in them either. You tend to get what you pay for.
