need a service manual where can i find it. canon optura xi it has lines running thru pic also has mosaic effect.

Horizontal lines and mosaic pattern is typical of dirty heads. Have you tried cleaning the heads?

The heads might just be shot. Have you considered upgrading to a newer camera?
