				Memory prices 2017

Anyone noticed the price increases for flash memory related storage devices?

I bought a Transcend 128gb sdxc card in December 2016 for $49 and now a year later it’s almost doubled in price to $89. Oddly SanDisk which always been the more expensive premium brand is substantial less $67. I always like to have extra cards to rotate as a form of easy back up but I think I might hold off buying anything until prices fall. |

Think yourselve lucky Pete. When I bpught FAST Video Machine in 1995 (which cost £13,500) I bought an extra 9 NINE gb HDD which cost an extra £3,500 THREE AND A HALF GRAND. Bought an extra 9gb 12 months later and got a bargain, only £1500 !!!!!

Beginning this year I bought a bunch of 8gb usb sticks to find out they had doubled in price compared to the year before that. the sd cards however seemed to have stayed at last years price.

For many things prices have stayed the same. I’ve read devices like smartphones who have increased their demand for more memory have created a shortage.
