Dallas/Plano TX Camcorder Stores?

Looking to find any stores that would carry the Sony FX1 and similar camcorders in the Dallas/Plano area?

Thanks

Michael,

I rented a Z1U from http://www.VideoTexSystems.com. They're about 10 to 15 minutes from the Galleria. Their web site is even better than most I've seen.

They sell the camcorders you mentioned as well. I did the rental through Roger, but I also spoke with a guy named Brock in sales. Nice guys, both of them. Good enough for me to make an effort to remember their names!

But I bought (and will continue to buy) from Brian at http://www.zotzdigital.com (one of the sponsors of this site). His product knowledge is incredible and he's good about emailing and calling you back.

Some people like to buy local and some like to buy on-line. The two places above give you a good choice for whatever your preference is. Each offers great service and very good prices too.

Thanks Derek. I am more interested in a hands on view, not buying at this time. I will check out the local store.

Thanks again

Mike

Derek -

You say they do have the FX1? Just wanted to make sure. They do not have it on their website. Or atleast I could not find it. Dallas is about 2 hours from me so I want to make sure which ever store has it in stock. I will eventually call, but would love all the help I could get :-)

Thanks again

Michael,

Would probably be best to just give them a call. Good luck!

The Apple Store in the Shops at Willow Bend Mall has the FX1 on display. Frye's Electronics may also carry it.

Thanks guys. I will give a call to each when I head down there. I was thinking about Frys since i have bought many things there, but could not remember if they carried the prosumer camcorder models.

Thanks

Yeah, I completely forgot about the apple store having the FX1. It's hooked up to a dual G5 and everything. I even taped some footage from it when I was there getting some RAM installed about a month ago. That would probably be your best bet Michael.
