Which camcorder for me?

Panasonic AG-UX90 or Canon XA50 Which do you prefer and why? I must have 4K with a 1″ sensor. Ease of use for documentary work is nice. Panasonic has 3 rings which is nice.

Re: Which camcorder for me?

I owned the UX90 briefly, and I returned it because the 4k mode used a smaller 1:1 pixel crop of the 1-inch sensor. So the field of view and low light performance in 4K was poor. I'm not 100% on this, but the UX180 and the even more affordable XC-H1 didn't have that problem.

Re: Which camcorder for me?

My decision

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1306714-REG/panasonic_lumix_dmc_fz2500_digital_camera.html/BI/2855/KBID/3801

Based on the fact that I feel I need a bridge camera right now that can still do 4K.I can upgrade the capabilities of this camera by using an external Atomos recorder going 4:2:2 10 bit. I don't want to spend too much right now knowing that the "perfect camera" is just around the corner :-)

Besides, I can always use this as a B roll camera.
