I wanted to know if this is a universal term for Hair & Makeup or do different countries use different terms

I have never heard that term used in the USA or any of the international productions I've worked on.

Speaking of slang, "recce" is one I hear a lot on international shoots, but in the USA we usally just say "recon". But I prefer, "scope it out".

reccie is certainly used in Aus but we seem to abbreviate everything

Recce stems from British Army when it was an abbreviation for reconnaissance or to recconoiter somewhere before a military operation.
