DV Rack programmers, be afraid, be very afraid!

Want a realtime waveform, vectorscope and every other type of scope under the sun on your desktop (including realtime audio vectorscopes and waveforms)?

http://www.hamlet.co.uk/products/software.htm

99UKP for the DV version. I've tried the 14 day trial and I can honestly say that for professional use I think this blows DV Rack out of the water. Not least because of the sheer number of scopes it has (and the fact it displays them fullscreen) but also because there is an SDI version available as well as an HD one that is HDV compatible avaialble next year.

They say the software will be available to buy in a few weeks. I'm gonna be one of the first to get it! :)))

Simon,

The site doesn't seem to mention capturing... does the softward capture the video to the hard drive also?

I haven't tried it, but the program does indeed appear to have a capture module. I'll take a closer look at the trial version a bit later.

Barry,

When you go to the URL he has in his post, you can click a link from that page and it will show you some more detailed information about the program and the last thing it lists is capture to hard-disk! So, I DVrack could have some competition!

I'm getting ready to purchase one of these programs, so once I get my laptop I will be trying both of the programs out.

Thanks for the post Simon!
