HS Football Videos PLEASE POST THEM HERE!

Hello everyone, this has been a wonderful resource of knowledge and experience shared by all. I hope I can get your help on this one. Currently I am working on a HS Football Video. A very sucessful team. Currently I have the interviews of the players, couple hours of video from the games, and their awards banquet. I need to have it completed in 2 weeks. I've had troubles with hardware and getting photos from families. I'm looking for some great ideas from you. Please post what you have done here or at least the link to it. I'd love to see your work. When I'm done, I'd Love to share. Please post as soon as you can. I'm really needing some good ideas. Thanks to everyone who participates.

David,

I did quite a few football videos this year (2 high school, 14 little league, 8 recruiting) and this is what I found worked for me: The kids love to see the great plays and they make for an exciting video, however, if you only have the great plays you will find you are only showing a few of the same players over and over again. It sounds like you are on the right track by doing interviews and including other media besides video from the games only. This allows you to show all of the players and put together more of a video yearbook as opposed to a game highlight video. I am posting a couple of examples of things I did. The first is a video I did for a team dinner. If is mostly plays, but does integrate still photos also as a way to show more players. The second is just one game out of a DVD that had all the games from the year as well as a montage of pictures from other events such as team picnics and practice. I usually include a posed still pictures of each player, captioned with the players name and position or a video of each player where they say their name and position as a way to ensure that every player is represented in the video.

This is my first attempt at uploading video to the internet and I havent found the optimum way to compress the files, so the quality is not near as good as I would like. I hope this helps.
