If you want to do both front and rear, you can get material that is designed for both uses

http://gi-info.com/projection_screen..._and_rear.html

Depending on the lighting, there is quite a bit of display on a front projection surface when it is projected from the rear, That is not in my experience the case with rear projections surfaces, the front projected image on a rear surface is not very bright at all

Might be worth checking to see which projection format you are going to favor
rear is brighter but you do have to deal with the hot spot from the projector lamp

Does anyone have any experience with the hard plastic Vikuiti screens for rear projection? I would use the screen for a theatrical performance incorporating digital projection and some shadow work. Would this be a good choice?

thanks,
thomas
