Tokyo Crew

There seems to be a few crew popping up here from the Tokyo area. If anyone is interested in getting togeather once a month to drink some beer, shoot the breeze and maybe even talk about DV stuff, drop me an e-mail and we can try to organise something.

Tokyo Mac World is coming up in at the end of this month, maybe it could be a good place to start out.

Legal advice websites

Does anyone know of links to sites that address legal issues for filmmakers? I've done searches...but the results are quite a mis-mash.

Video University might have some helpful information. They have standard agreements and other reference materials on their site.

Of course no site will offer detailed advice. For that you will need an attorney.

audio dynamic compression

For broadcast projects, has anyone found the need to do dynamic compression on the audio? I'll be working with live music we've recorded...and sometimes the softer bits are lost.

If so, is there software that does the job when doing digital editing? Or is this something that's done as a final audio-post?

Thanks in advance.
