HD to Fibre Converters

I wasn't sure where to post this so here it goes. I work at a military test facility and have been tasked with converting everything to Hi Def. I still haven't decided which cameras or recorders to purchase yet. I'm leaning toward the Panasonic gear. My real dilemma is how to get my signals from the cameras to the control center for monitoring and recording purposes. I need to be able to convert from HD/SDI or componet to fibre, send it a long distance and then be able to record and monitor in another building.

Does anyone have any experience in this or know of any companies that make such converters?

Thanks in advance

camera wise.... I've heard ( I have one as well ) that the Sony z1 is a tough mofo.... also the best under 10k for low light levels.

I don't blame ya.... if I had the ROI for a f350 I'd jump on it!

Panny just anounced a 2/3 $14k cam today.... but it might be pixel shift to HD
