Secrets of the JVC GY DV5000-AUDIO-TIP#2
Secrets of the JVC GY DV5000-AUDIO-TIP#2
Some videographers tend to use the AUTO SYSTEM on the JVC GY DV5000. However, when AUTOMATIC CAMERA FUNCTIONS are enabled, the user can no longer perform such functions as manual iris, manual gain, manual white balance and manual audio. This tip will help the user overide the AUTO AUDIO as it relates to the FULL AUTO SYSTEM found on the JVC GY DV5000. This setting is excellent for loud audio environments that require manual overide of the default auto only setting while utilizing FAS. TO OVERIDE AUTOMATIC AUDIO in the FAS MODE: 1) Press BOTH AUTO,LUX and STATUS at the same time. 2) A service menu will appear. This is different than the menu observed in a prior TIP#1. 3)SCROLL via shutter wheel to CAM#1 4)PRESS the shutter wheel 5)SCROLL to FAS AUDIO 6)PRESS shutter wheel and scroll and SET to SW SET. 7)PRESS shutter wheel to enable SW SET. 8)PRESS STATUS button to return to return back to your normal menus. YOU WILL NOW BE ABLE TO ADJUST AUDIO LEVELS IN FULL AUTO SYSTEM BY SETTING THE REAR AUDIO LEVEL TO MANUAL WHEN IN FULL AUTO SYSTEM. IF YOU SO DESIRE YOU MAY STILL USE THE AUTO AUDIO SWITCH AS WELL.
