Total Noob Battery Question (D Tap)

I need and adapter plate that will let me use Sony V mount batteries with a power lead coming off the side that I can wire into. I need to use the battery as a power source for a small 12 volt camera.

If an adapter says it has D Tap, does that mean it puts out a 12v source?

Oh and one more thing, does anyone know if IDX brand D Tap is compatible with Anton Bauer P Tap?

Yes, the D Tap puts out voltage that may be as high as the battery (14.4), or in some cases regulated to 12 volts.

There are some third party battery suppliers out there who also have a d tap on the battery itself.

I' ve already got a bunch of Sony V Mount batteries so new batteries is not an option. I edited my post to ask another question, maybe you have an answer for that too. I'm looking for a cable to come out of the D Tap connector that is basically just a pigtail so I don't have to hack up a $40 cable...

Or even better, does anyone know if there are to wires coming off the back of this thing?

I don't think it's wired but Anton Bauer OR B&H have both male and female D tap connectors and you can get whichever one you need and then make your own cable to power the other camera.
