HMC-150 and HDSLR
Justcurious if anyone has tried this... but what would you say would be the "best" match to an HMC-150/40 in the HDSLR realm? Canon's T2i, 7D, 5DMkII?? Has anyone tried to shoot two cams and match 'em up?

Well, good news and bad.
Good news..I have the hmc150 and T2i and one partner shoots with a 5D, the other an hmc40 so I have lots of experience with this setup. Color-wise, it is easy to match all the cams as long as you properly white balance. The 5D generally needs to be desaturated a bit but that could be in his settings. Once again...easy to do. Bad news, If you want 1080p across the board, the panny's do not cut the mustard and show a lot of noise comparatively even in well lit situations. The DSLR's are just superior image-wise. I'm looking into the possibility of upgrading to an EX1r or Canon's XF. Most of what I deliver is 720 so it does look acceptable scaled down. The first thing on my reel is a regular shoot I do with the T2i and 150. I think they blend quite well. For some reason, the embedded link isn't hd so go to the vimeo site to really see the quality.
