Schneider/Century wide with black corners
Hi
Bought th 0.3x and 0.5x wide converters but both have vignetting on my Panasonic AG-HCK 10 camera (43mm). The 0.5 wide comes with an adatter for 37mm and it seems that this is really, what is fit on without black corners. I have the Panasonic wide adapter ( 0.65x as far as I remember) and it have no problems. Anyone knows of a wide adapter like 0.5 or more that fits 43mm and do not have any vignetting ? |

Vignetting goes hand in hand with adapters on lenses. Some lenses seem to be designed to accept adapters better than others. The wider the original lens the harder it is to design an adapter which doesn't vignette. Unless someone designs one specifically for your camera without vignetting it is likely you will have to live with some of it. Zooming in slightly and then focusing may be the best you can do.

Bo, how are you liking your camera? Have you been using it underwater?

Just got my UW house two days ago. It is fantastic to use but I need to make a better way to keep it still. In the stream it is difficult to hold steady and so it was today in the sea at low water with waves. I'll get a better grip made for it, at the balance point and some kind of fixture that could be put on the bottom. So far I use the panasonic wide adapter and a flat port. It seems to work okay and with very sharp pictures through the acrylic on the front. I'll post some when I get some decent pictures and video - in Denmark we do not have much clear water so I guess I'll have to wait a month or two.
