AVCHD to ?
Hi everyone,
I need a little help. I recently got my HMC40 and shot some footage with it. Now I need some advice on converting the .mts files. I am currently using Premiere 1.5. I have TMPGEnc, I tried converting to uncompressed .avi and the files were huge so I was thinking I should just convert to MPEG2 since the video will ultimately go to DVD anyway. Any recommendations on what bitrate settings to use? When I render out of Premier I usually use CBR 8000kb/s which gets burned to DVD. Thanks Adam |

if your still working with it ,i suggest rendering it at 25000 kb/s for video
honestly although its expensive i find cineform to be the easiest option editing with it is so smooth |

Thanks for the reply Tom. Any idea if Cineform would work with 1.5? For $129 I would buy it.

Thanks guys. I'll give the demo a shot. I noticed on the system requirements it only listed CS3 CS4 and CS5. I have a copy of CS4 I plan to start using once I build a new computer, but that won't be for a couple months.
