TM-700 - Internal memory or SD card?

Would the built in memory be more reliable than using an SD card? Just curious.

I would think so in a theoretical sense but probably not measurably. Why do you ask?

Had a discussion with a friend who insists the built in memory would be more reliable than an SD card. I figured they may be equal in reliability, assuming one is using a name brand card. Just wondering what others would think.

Well that's true, it could be unreliable if you put an unreliable card into it. But I don't think it's necessarily unreliable by definition.

No doubt there is some risk of damaging contacts etc with continued insertion and removal of the card.

I was wondering whether it is possible to record on both the built-in memory and the SWd card at the same time in either the TM700 or the TM 900?

Hi

You can't record to both at the same time.

Regards

Phil

I just had a card fail and everything on it was lost. Fortunately I had already backed up the file. I've never had a problem with the internal memory.

FWIW

Thanks Phil, I suspected that there would be no parallel recording but there is no harm in hoping.

Kirk has reminded me that I have had an SD card irretrievably fail.
