Just think...

Just think if the GS100 did come to PALsville Down-Under. It'll have more CCD pixels, because it's PAL; and the CCD pixels will have to be smaller, thus increased LUX requirements. On the bright side, it'll have higher resolution and 25P...because it's PAL. Merry Christmas! :-))

Maybe I'll e-mail Pana one more time to see if the GS100 is coming, but don't hold your breath.

Frank, most of the time Pana release the new gear about feb march down here.. no wthere are no definite "new" products coming pout, but i do know that the DVC30 and DVXa will most likely be available in May (at teh latest...)

I havent noticed any price drops with the MX500 and they are still pumping strong.. usually you can tell when Pana are about to release a replacement cam as the prices of teh predecessor drops dramatically... I havent seen this occur...

most likely pana will do a turnaround after the 2004 financial year... i dont doubt that the MX500 will be replaced... its not like pana to hang onto one model for too long...

the question now is which cam will be the replacement?

my bet is on the GS as its within the $3/4 k price tag... UNLESS theyre planing on wiping the floor with the DVC30 at $4500 which is another possibility....
