Joining the DVXers

I just orded a shiny new DVX100A from B&H and it should be shipping out today!

Just wanted to voice my excitement!!! I'll finally have a reason to get to poke around in this part of the forum.

Woohoo! Just got it a few minutes ago. I won't be able to look at it in detail until I get home later today (the wait will be excruciating) but I did fiddle with it a bit and I'm charging the battery up as we speak.

I've heard before that it's supposed to feel flimsy but it doesn't feel that way at all. Seems like it's made of some space age materials that are strong but just feel light. Feels pretty solid, well balanced, and the XLR jacks seem like they would be unbreakable.

I'll post more first-time experiences tonight or tomorrow...

Contrats Imran. Someday I want to have the exact experience you are having right now. For now, I'm learning with my little PV-DV852. Please report back on your experience.
